PDA Receiving and Putaway

1. Scenario

Use Receive to query inbound orders, confirm actual quantities by SKU or box, and put received goods into locations. Scanning a location on the Receive home page opens inventory initialization.

Prerequisites

1. Sign in to the warehouse where the work is performed.
2. The inbound order has completed review. Draft or To Audit orders cannot be received on the PDA.
3. Product, box, and location barcodes are readable.

2. Steps

2.1 Query an inbound order

1. Open GWMS PDA-Receive.
2. Enter the inbound order number and tap 【Query】.
3. Check statuses such as To Receive, Partially Received, To Putaway, Partially Putaway, or Putaway Complete.
4. Tap the status action and select an available operation: 【Receive By SKU】, 【Receive By Box】, 【Putaway By SKU】, 【Putaway By Box】, or 【Verify SKU Properties】.

2.2 Receive by SKU

1. Open 【Receive By SKU】 and scan a SKU or GSKU.
2. The matching row is highlighted and focus moves to Current Receive.
3. Confirm the actual quantity. Tap Unreceived to restore the remaining expected quantity.
4. Enter 0 when the SKU is not received in this submission. Negative quantities are not accepted.
5. Tap 【Submit】. A successful scan produces a beep.

If scan digits are inserted into the quantity field, tap the green GSKU to clear Current Receive without clearing the scanned mark.

2.3 Receive by box

1. Open 【Receive By Box】 and scan the box label.
2. Check the box SKUs and pending quantities.
3. Confirm physical quantities and submit.

2.4 Put away by SKU

1. Open 【Putaway By SKU】 and type, select by long-press, or scan a location.
2. With Current Location filled, scan a SKU to highlight its row and move focus to that row's location.
3. With Current Location empty, scanning a SKU shows its existing location distribution. Close the dialog and scan the target location.
4. Use 【+Location】 when one SKU must be split across locations.
5. Tap 【Submit】. The system validates warehouse locations and total quantities.

2.5 Put away by box

1. Open 【Putaway By Box】 and scan a box label.
2. If Current Location is filled, it is assigned to the box. Otherwise the box receives a pink border; scan a location next.
3. Tap Current Location to clear the highlighted-box priority before scanning a new top location.
4. Completed boxes remain visible but cannot be edited.

2.6 Initialize inventory

1. Scan a location belonging to the current warehouse on the Receive home page.
2. Scan SKU/GSKU on the inventory-initialization page.
3. Enter the initial quantity and submit.

3. Notes

• Inbound review is completed on desktop, not on the PDA.
• Replacing an existing location by scan may require confirmation.
• Completed SKU or box rows remain visible but are read-only.

4. FAQ

Q1: Why can the inbound order not be received?

A1: Draft and To Audit orders must be reviewed on desktop. Refresh the PDA list after review.

Q2: Why is a location rejected at submission?

A2: Verify that it belongs to the current warehouse and that total putaway quantity does not exceed the remaining quantity.

Q3: Why did a location go to the wrong box?

A3: A pink-highlighted box has priority for the next location scan. Tap Current Location to clear the highlight before scanning a new top location.
