GWMS Warehouse Quick Start
Last updated: 2026-04-13
1. Scenario
This quick start guide helps warehouse accounts complete basic interface setup, confirm home page statistics context, and find the main entry points for inbound, in-warehouse, and outbound operations after logging into GWMS for the first time.
It ensures that warehouse staff confirm their language, timezone, warehouse, and home page entry points upon first login, avoiding incorrect pages when checking receiving times, processing to-dos, or locating menus later.
Applicable scenarios:
- A warehouse account has just been provisioned and is logging into GWMS for the first time.
- A new warehouse has just gone live and staff need to familiarize themselves with the home page and common menus before beginning formal operations.
- Implementation staff or supervisors need a "what to do after login" guide for warehouse personnel.
Not applicable scenarios:
- If you already know which specific business operation to handle — such as reviewing inbound forecasts, receiving, putaway, or wave creation — go directly to the relevant business documentation.
- If the warehouse, customer, SKU, and opening inventory are not yet ready, start with Initial Setup.
2. Instructions
Prerequisites
Please confirm the following before starting:
- You have a valid warehouse account and password.
- The account has been assigned common warehouse-side menu permissions. If the top menu is incomplete after login, contact your administrator first.
- You have confirmed the warehouse you are currently responsible for and the timezone needed for subsequent business reconciliation.
2.1 Confirm System Language After Login
Menu location: Language icon in the top-right corner of the page
- After logging into GWMS, locate the Language icon in the top-right corner.
- Click the icon. The system expands the language list.
- Click the language icon to open the language list.
- After selecting the target language, wait for the page text to finish switching, then confirm that the top menu and home page titles are displayed in the target language.
Additional note: the default system language is 中文. The current language options are 中文, English, Français, and Español.
System feedback:
- After language switching, the system displays Language switched successfully!.
- Page menus, home page titles, and card text switch to the target language immediately.
- The current browser retains the most recently selected language.
- If some fields still do not switch to the target language after the change succeeds, sign out of the current account, log in again, and refresh the page.
For a standalone guide that can be sent directly to warehouse users, refer to Set Language & Timezone.
2.2 Confirm Business Timezone
Menu location: Timezone dropdown in the top-right corner of the page
- Check the timezone currently displayed in the top-right corner.
- Click the timezone dropdown and select the target timezone based on business needs.
- The system provides the following common timezones:
- Asia/China/Beijing UTC+8
- America/US/New York UTC-5/UTC-4
- America/US/Chicago UTC-6/UTC-5
- America/US/Los Angeles UTC-8/UTC-7
- America/Mexico/Mexico City UTC-6
- Asia/Singapore/Singapore UTC+8
- Asia/Myanmar/Yangon UTC+6.5
- After switching, first check whether the time in the top-right corner has refreshed to the new timezone, then continue reviewing the day's business.
System feedback:
- After timezone switching, the current time in the top-right corner updates immediately.
- Time displays in subsequent list pages will follow the currently selected timezone.
- The current browser retains the most recently selected timezone.
2.3 After Entering the Home Page, Select a Warehouse and Understand the Statistics Cards
Menu path: GWMS-Home
- After login, you enter the home page by default.
- There is a Warehouse filter in the top-left corner of the home page. If the current account manages multiple warehouses, first select the warehouse you need to process business for.
- After selecting a warehouse, review the home page statistics cards to avoid mixing data from different warehouses.
- Common home page statistics include Pending Review, Pending Inbound, Pending Putaway, Pending Outbound, Shipped.
- The lower section of the home page also displays Today's Order Fulfillment Funnel, Past 7 Days Inbound/Outbound Load, Operational Alert List, and Active Customer Leaderboard.
System feedback:
- After selecting a warehouse, the home page refreshes statistics based on the current warehouse.
- If there are no alerts requiring attention on the home page, the system displays Well done! There are currently no items that need attention.
The following image shows the warehouse home page, where you can first select a warehouse in the top-left corner and view the day's to-dos on the right:
2.4 Use Home Page Cards to Quickly Access To-Do Pages
Menu path: GWMS-Home
- Click the Pending Review card on the home page to directly enter the Pending Review tab of
GWMS-Inbound Management-Inbound Forecast. - Click the Pending Inbound card to enter the Pending Inbound tab of
GWMS-Inbound Management-Inbound Forecast. - Click the Pending Putaway card to enter the pending putaway page related to inbound forecasts and continue viewing received-but-not-yet-putaway orders.
- Click the Pending Outbound or Shipped cards to quickly enter the outbound business list for further processing.
- After entering the target page, if you need to narrow the scope further by warehouse, customer, or order number, continue adding filter conditions on the list page.
System feedback:
- After entering the target list from a home page card, the system automatically switches to the corresponding business tab or status.
- For example, clicking Pending Review directly opens the Pending Review tab of inbound forecasts.
2.5 Continue Warehouse Daily Operations in Recommended Order
After the warehouse goes live for the first time, we recommend proceeding in the following order:
- If basic data is not yet ready, start with Initial Setup.
- When customers have submitted inbound forecasts, process in the order of
Review Inbound Forecast -> Receiving -> Putaway: - After inbound is complete, when you need to view in-warehouse structure or handle inventory operations, go to
GWMS-Inventory-Inventory Management,GWMS-Inventory-Stock Count,GWMS-Inventory-Stock Transfer. - When you need to process outbound, go to
GWMS-Outbound Managementto continue with wave creation, picking, and review.
Result: After completing the above setup, warehouse staff can confirm the system language, time, current warehouse, and home page to-do entry points, and know which module to enter next for business processing.
3. Supplementary Notes
3.1 What Language and Timezone Each Affect
- Language: Affects top menus, page titles, buttons, and card text.
- Timezone: Affects the current time in the top-right corner and time displays in subsequent list pages.
- If you are collaborating across timezones, unify the timezone first, then review document creation times, expected warehouse arrival times, and operation times.
3.2 What the Home Page Is Best For
The home page is best suited for "quick assessments" and "finding entry points" — not as a replacement for formal business lists.
For example:
- To first check whether there is a backlog of orders today, start by viewing the home page cards.
- To process specific orders, still navigate to the corresponding list page for further filtering and operations.
- To review details, status transitions, and exception reasons, go to the formal business pages.
3.3 Select a Warehouse Before Viewing Data
If an account can manage multiple warehouses, we recommend selecting a warehouse first before viewing home page statistics.
This has two benefits:
- The pending review, pending inbound, and pending outbound counts you see are more precise.
- After entering the business list, it is easier to determine which warehouse's tasks you are currently processing.
4. FAQ
Q1: What should warehouse staff do first after logging in for the first time?
A1: First confirm the language and timezone in the top-right corner, then confirm that the current warehouse in the top-left corner of the home page is correct. If basic data is not yet ready, start with Initial Setup. If basic data is already complete, continue processing in the order of inbound, inventory, and outbound.
Q2: I switched the timezone, but the time is still wrong. Why?
A2: First confirm that the timezone label in the top-right corner has changed to the target timezone, then check whether the current time in the top-right corner has refreshed. If the timezone label has changed but the time is still abnormal, save a screenshot of the current page along with the selected timezone information, and contact your administrator for further troubleshooting.
Q3: Why do I need to filter again after clicking into a business page from the home page?
A3: Home page cards are primarily for quick navigation to the corresponding business page and are not meant to replace formal list filtering. After entering the target page, if you still need to limit by warehouse, customer, order number, or date, continue adding filter conditions on the list page.
