Maintain Return Registration Details

Updated: August 12, 2026

1. When to use this page

The warehouse registers the returned parcel and its item details. Details can be registered during PDA inspection or on the web. If no customer is assigned, a customer claims the return in the customer-side Claim area and then submits the handling instruction.

2. Instructions

Prerequisites

  1. Your account has the GWMS-Return Management-Return Registration menu and the required action permissions.
  2. You have verified the return and its physical item. Use the Return Order ID displayed by the system.
  3. Before editing or deleting, make sure the detail has not entered an irreversible downstream operation.

2.1 Find and maintain registrations

  1. Expand ① Return Management and click Return Registration.
  2. In ②, filter by Return Order ID, SKU Code, or GSKU, then click Search.
  3. In ③, click Add, select rows and click Delete, or click Export for the filtered results.
  4. In ④, verify quantities and item data, and use the row edit or delete actions.

2.2 Add a return registration

  1. Click Add.
  2. Enter the required Return Order ID in ①.
  3. Select an SKU in ② when applicable. Verify the physical item before selection.
  4. Enter the required quantity in ③. It must be an integer of 1 or greater.
  5. Enter an optional remark in ④ and click ⑤ Confirm.

Add a return registration

System response: after a successful addition, the list returns to the first page and displays the new record. Adding a detail does not claim the return or create a customer handling instruction.

2.3 Edit, delete, and export

  • Edit: Click the row edit icon, verify the return, SKU, quantity, and remark, then save.
  • Delete: Use the row action, or select multiple rows and click Delete, then confirm. Deleted details are no longer available for downstream verification.
  • Export: Set filters and click Export. The generated file follows the current filters.

3. Notes

  • Return Order ID can differ from the business-facing return order number. Enter the identifier shown in the current field.
  • Return details can be registered on both the PDA and the web. Register them on the PDA during physical inspection, or use Return Registration on a computer to add, edit, delete, or export records.
  • Registration primarily records parcel and item information. When a customer is assigned, that customer normally submits the handling instruction. With explicit delegation, the warehouse may select the authorized disposition. When no customer is assigned, a customer must first claim the return in the customer-side Claim area.
  • If no customer claims the return before the claim window expires, the warehouse handles it under its independent disposal process without waiting for a customer instruction.
  • SKU is optional, but item-level inspection, restocking, and handling should be linked to the correct item whenever possible.
  • Deletion is a correction action. Do not use it to reverse completed restocking, disposal, forwarding, or billing.
  • After editing or deleting, open Return Order and review the activity history and downstream to-do quantities.

4. FAQ

Q1: Why can I not submit a new registration?

A1: Make sure Return Order ID is entered and quantity is an integer of 1 or greater. Zero, negative values, and decimals are not accepted.

Q2: Why can I not find the required SKU?

A2: Verify the return's customer and product master data. A product that is not maintained or does not belong to the customer may not be selectable.

Q3: Can I delete a detail that has already been restocked?

A3: Do not use deletion to reverse completed warehouse work. Check activity and the inventory log, then use the applicable business correction process.

Q4: Does Export include all registrations?

A4: Export follows the active filters. Clear the filters for all records, or retain a Return Order ID or item filter for a targeted export.

Q5: Should the warehouse claim a return after registration when no customer is assigned?

A5: No. A customer claims it in the customer-side Claim area and then submits the handling instruction. If the claim window expires, the warehouse handles the parcel under its independent disposal process.
