Review Return Transit Consolidation Batches
Updated: August 12, 2026
1. When to use this page
Use Return Transit to find consolidation batches created for consolidated forwarding, review each batch's boxes and parcel counts, and export a manifest. This web page is for inquiry and verification. Creating a batch, adding parcels, sealing, labeling, and shipping are completed in PDA or the applicable warehouse workflow.
2. Instructions
Prerequisites
- Your account has the
GWMS-Return Management-Return Transitmenu. - The customer has submitted an approved Consolidation and Forwarding instruction, or has explicitly delegated that disposition to the warehouse. Warehouse operators have created a batch in the transit workflow.
2.1 Search consolidation batches
- Expand ① Return Management and click Return Transit.
- In ②, filter by batch number, customer code, or batch date, then click Search. Click Reset to clear the filters.
- In ③, verify the batch, customer, date, number of boxes, total parcels, and warehouse.
- Use ④ View Boxes or Export to Excel.
The image shows: ① menu; ② filters; ③ batch summary; ④ view and export actions.
2.2 Review box details
- Locate a batch and click View Boxes.
- In ①, verify the batch, customer, date, box count, and total parcel count.
- In ②, review each box number, status, parcel count, dimensions, and weight.
Common box statuses are Not Sealed, Sealed, Labeled, and Shipped. They reflect warehouse progress. This detail dialog does not advance a box to the next status.
2.3 Export a manifest
- Locate the target batch.
- Click Export to Excel.
- Verify the batch, box, customer, and parcel totals in the downloaded file before handoff or archiving.
3. Notes
- The menu is named Return Transit, while the page tab may display Consolidation Batches. They refer to the same inquiry page.
- Consolidated forwarding normally comes from an approved customer instruction. With explicit customer delegation, the warehouse may select consolidated forwarding and record the authorization.
- One batch can contain multiple boxes. Total Parcels is the sum of the parcels in all boxes.
- Dimensions and weight can be shown in cm/inch and kg/lb. A unit that was not captured can be blank.
- If page data differs from the physical shipment, check scanning, sealing, labeling, and shipment records in the operation workflow.
4. FAQ
Q1: Why is there no Create Batch button?
A1: The web page is for search, detail review, and export. Batches are created during the physical consolidation workflow in PDA or the applicable warehouse operation.
Q2: Why does a box remain Not Sealed?
A2: The physical box may not have been sealed, or the sealing record has not been submitted. Verify the box number and scan record in the warehouse workflow.
Q3: Why is Total Parcels greater than the number of boxes?
A3: A box can contain multiple return parcels. The two fields measure different objects and do not need to be equal.
Q4: Why does the export contain only one batch?
A4: Export to Excel is a row action for the selected batch. It exports that batch's manifest, not every batch in the list.
