Print SKU Labels ​

1. Scenario ​

SKU labels identify products before inbound receiving, putaway, sorting, or stock count. When a product has no recognizable barcode, or warehouse operations need to scan the GWMS code, print labels from Product Management-SKU.

The Print entry opens the Print Product Label dialog. In the dialog, you can set label size, print content, font size, and QR code or barcode type, then review the preview on the right.

Applicable scenarios:

  • Products need labels before being shipped to the warehouse.
  • Existing product barcodes are not used for warehouse scanning, and GSKU should be scanned instead.
  • You need to check label size, code content, and print quantity before inbound delivery.

2. Instructions ​

Prerequisites ​

Confirm the following before printing:

  1. Your account can open GWMS-Product Management-SKU.
  2. The products have been created and include GSKU values.
  3. Your computer is connected to a printer, or the browser can open the system print window.

2.1 Select products to print ​

Menu path: GWMS-Product Management-SKU

On the SKU list, search by SKU, SKU-CN, SKU-EN, UPC, FN SKU, GSKU, Status, or Creation Time. Select the target product records, then click Print on the toolbar.

  1. Search area: find products by SKU, GSKU, status, creation time, and other conditions.
  2. Selected product record: the system generates labels from selected records.
  3. Print: opens label print settings after products are selected.

2.2 Set labels and review the preview ​

After the Print Product Label dialog opens, set the options according to the labeling requirement:

  • Size: 100x100, 100x30, 70x30, or 50x30.
  • Print Content: currently GSKU.
  • Font Size: range 6-30; the system loads a default font size after you switch label size.
  • Type: QR Code or Barcode.

The Label Preview area updates automatically after settings change. The footer shows how many labels will be printed. After confirming the preview, click Print. The browser opens the print window; finish printing with your local printer settings.

  1. Print settings: set size, print content, font size, and QR code or barcode type.
  2. Label preview: review the current label effect and printable quantity.
  3. Cancel and Print: cancel or submit the current print action.

2.3 Check labels after printing ​

After printing, confirm that:

  1. The label quantity matches the product quantity that requires labels.
  2. Each QR code or barcode is clear and scannable.
  3. The GSKU on the label matches the GSKU in the SKU list.
  4. No label is attached to the wrong product or reused.

Result: products that require labels have the correct labels, and each label code matches product information in GWMS.

3. Notes ​

3.1 GSKU is the current print content ​

The product label dialog currently prints GSKU. If a selected product has no GSKU, it is not counted as printable. Confirm that GSKU has been generated before printing.

3.2 SKU labels and box labels ​

A SKU label is attached to a product or product package and identifies the product. A box label is attached to an outer carton and identifies the carton or inbound box number. See Print Box Labels for carton labeling requirements.

3.3 Choosing a label size ​

Use 100x100 when package space is sufficient and the QR code should be easy to scan. Use 100x30, 70x30, or 50x30 when package space is limited or a narrow label is required. Before printing in bulk, use the preview to confirm that the code and text are still readable.

4. FAQ ​

Q1: Why is Print disabled? ​

A1: Select at least one product record in the SKU list. Print is disabled when no product is selected.

Q2: Why is the printable quantity smaller than the selected quantity? ​

A2: Check whether every selected product has a GSKU. The current product label is generated from GSKU, so records without GSKU are not counted as printable.

Q3: Should I choose QR code or barcode? ​

A3: Choose Barcode when the warehouse uses barcode scanners for one-dimensional codes. Choose QR Code when higher fault tolerance is needed and the package has enough label space. Print one sample and scan it with the actual device before bulk printing.
