Change Your Login Password

1. Scenario

Change the current account password in Personal Center when the password must be updated regularly or may have been exposed.

Use this guide when:

• You have taken over an account and need to replace the previous password.
• Your organization requires regular password changes.
• Someone else may know the current password and it must be replaced immediately.

2. Instructions

Prerequisites

1. You are signed in to the account whose password must be changed.
2. You know the current password.
3. Any unsaved work on other pages has been completed because a successful password change logs the account out.

2.1 Open Change Password

Menu path: GWMS-Upper-right avatar-Personal Center-Change Password

1. Click the account name or avatar in the upper-right corner.
2. Click Personal Center.

In Personal Center, select the Change Password tab.

2.2 Enter and save the new password

Complete the fields shown on the page:

• Old Password
• New Password
• Confirm Password

Click Save. The system asks: After the password is changed successfully, you will be forced to log out and log in again. Continue?

Confirm the message to submit the change. After the password is changed, the system logs the current account out and returns to the sign-in page.

3. Save and Close: submit the change or close the page without saving.

Result: the old session ends. Sign in to GWMS again with the new password.

3. Notes

3.1 New password rules

• Old Password is required.
• New Password is required and must contain 6 to 20 characters.
• New Password cannot contain <, >, ", ', \, or |.
• Confirm Password must exactly match New Password.

3.2 The password change cannot remain in the current session

After a successful change, the system logs the account out. This is expected behavior and prevents the previous session from continuing with the old password state.

3.3 Close does not save changes

Clicking Close closes Personal Center and discards password values that have not been submitted.

4. FAQ

Q1: Why was I logged out after clicking Save?

A1: A successful password change ends the current session. Sign in again with the new password.

Q2: Why does the page say that the passwords do not match?

A2: Enter New Password and Confirm Password again. They must match exactly, including uppercase and lowercase letters and special characters.

Q3: What should I do if I do not know the old password?

A3: The Change Password page requires the old password. Contact your administrator or implementation contact to reset access instead of repeatedly submitting the form.
