Understanding the GWMS Navigation Bar
Last updated: 2026-06-02
1. Scenario
The navigation bar helps customers quickly find common entry points. After logging into GWMS, the navigation areas at the top of the page and on the left side determine how you switch language, open personal settings, search pages, and enter business modules.
Applicable scenarios:
- You are logging into the customer side for the first time and need to understand the page layout.
- You want to confirm whether a function is in the top bar or in the left-side menu.
- Customer support or implementation staff need to explain what the common navigation buttons are used for.
2. Instructions
2.1 Review the top navigation bar first
Menu location: Top of the page after logging into GWMS
The top navigation bar is used for global settings and quick actions. Common areas include:
- The
Collapse Menubutton on the left, used to expand or collapse the left-side menu. - The breadcrumb area in the middle, which shows the current page path, such as
Home / Personal Center. - The
Timezoneswitcher on the right, used to adjust how business time is displayed. Freight Rate Calculationon the right, which opens the freight trial page for customer accounts.- The
Searchbutton on the right, used to quickly search for menus or pages. - The
Messagebutton on the right, used to view system messages and unread alerts. - The
Full Screenbutton on the right, used to switch to full-screen mode. - The
Languagebutton on the right, used to switch the interface language. - The
Layout Sizebutton on the right, used to adjust display density. - The
Username and Avatararea on the far right, used to open Personal Center, Layout Setting, and Logout.
2.2 Then review the left-side main menu
Menu location: Left side of the page
The left-side menu is used to open specific business pages. Common customer-side entries include:
GWMS-Product Management: maintain products and SKUs.GWMS-Inbound Management: create inbound forecasts and review inbound progress.GWMS-Inventory Operations: view inventory, create stock counts, and set inventory alerts.GWMS-Outbound Management: submit outbound orders and track outbound status.GWMS-Customer Management: view account recharge and account transactions.GWMS-Quotation & Business: review quotation sheets and business pages.GWMS-Ecommerce Platform Integration: manage platform authorization, platform orders, and SKU mapping.GWMS-System ManagementandGWMS-System Configuration: review account, authorization, and system-related settings.
If a menu is missing, the most common reason is account permission scope. Confirm whether the current account has been granted the corresponding menu permission first.
2.3 Use the avatar dropdown menu
Menu path: GWMS-Top-right avatar
Click the top-right avatar to expand the dropdown menu. Common customer-side entries currently include:
Personal Center: opens profile details, change password, and online devices.Layout Setting: adjusts layout-related display settings.Logout: signs out of the current account and returns to the login page.
2.4 Use the navigation bar to open account-setting pages
If you need to manage settings for the current account itself, we recommend this order:
- Start with this article if you need to understand where buttons and entry points are located.
- Go to User Center when you need to review or update nickname, phone number, or email.
- Go to Change Password when you need to change the current login password.
3. Supplementary Notes
3.1 Division of responsibility between the top bar and the left-side menu
- The top navigation bar is better suited for global actions, such as switching timezone, switching language, viewing messages, and opening Personal Center.
- The left-side menu is better suited for opening specific business pages, such as inbound, inventory, outbound, and account-related pages.
3.2 Menu visibility can change with permissions
Different customer accounts may see different left-side menus, top quick-action buttons, and warehouse scopes.
If you find that:
- A menu visible to your colleague is missing from your own account.
- An entry point mentioned in the documentation cannot be found in your account.
- A top-bar button is not displayed.
Please contact your implementation team or administrator first to confirm the permission scope.
4. FAQ
Q1: Should I look for a function in the top navigation bar or in the left-side menu?
A1: For global actions, check the top navigation bar first, such as language switching, message viewing, or entering Personal Center. For business functions, check the left-side menu first, such as inbound, inventory, outbound, and customer management.
Q2: Why can't I see a certain item after opening the avatar dropdown?
A2: The most common reason is that the current account has a different permission scope, page configuration, or role setting. Confirm the current account role first, then contact your implementation team or administrator if needed.
Q3: The left-side menu is long and hard to search. What should I do?
A3: You can use the top Search button to search by page name, or keep the left-side menu expanded and enter the target module by its module name.
