Authorize Ecommerce Stores in GWMS
Updated: 2026-05-28
1. Scenario
Platform authorization connects an ecommerce store to GWMS. After authorization is completed, GWMS can identify the store and sync orders, products, or inventory information based on the data returned by the platform. The store authorization record is also used when users process platform orders, dispatch orders to the warehouse, and check order sync logs.
Platform authorization only establishes the connection. It does not mean that platform orders have already been dispatched to the warehouse. After orders are synced to GWMS, users still need to review the platform orders, SKU mappings, and warehouse dispatch result in GWMS-Ecommerce Platform Integration-Platform Orders.
Typical users:
- Customer administrators
- Store operators
- Business users responsible for ecommerce fulfillment
Use this guide when:
- You are connecting a store to GWMS for the first time.
- Store authorization has expired and needs to be renewed.
- Platform tokens, permission scopes, or store administrator accounts have changed.
- The store is already active on the platform and paid unshipped orders need to be synced to GWMS for fulfillment.
Do not use this guide when:
- You only want to rename the store display name. Use 【Edit】 in the list instead of reauthorizing.
- The store has already been disabled and will not continue syncing.
2. Operation Guide
Prerequisites
Confirm the following before starting:
- Your account can access
GWMS-Ecommerce Platform Integration-Platform Authorization. - The platform administrator account is ready and has permission to install apps, authorize third-party systems, or generate credentials.

- Your browser allows pop-ups or new tabs. Otherwise, the platform authorization page may not open after you click 【Go to Authorization】.
- The 【Store Name】 must be unique within the same platform. Use a name that helps users identify the store, site, or business group in GWMS.

2.10 Check the authorization result and continue store maintenance
After the third-party platform authorization is completed, return to GWMS-Ecommerce Platform Integration-Platform Authorization and review the result.
Check the result in this order:
- Refresh the list and confirm that the store record has been created.
- Confirm that 【Authorization Status】 is normal.
- Confirm that 【Authorization Time】 has been updated to the latest operation time.
- If the page shows 【Refresh Token】 or 【Update Authorization】, choose the next step based on the current status.
In the normal case, once the store record is created, GWMS starts the follow-up sync process. If you need to continue with order syncing, go to GWMS-Ecommerce Platform Integration-Platform Orders or GWMS-Ecommerce Platform Integration-Order Sync Log.
If the store record has been created but orders do not appear in Platform Orders for a long time, open GWMS-Ecommerce Platform Integration-Order Sync Log and check whether there are failed records by store, platform, and sync time.
3. Notes
3.1 List fields and statuses
- 【Store Status】: controls whether the store remains active for syncing. The list supports 【Enable】 and 【Disable】.
- 【Authorization Status】: indicates whether the current authorization is healthy. If it becomes abnormal, check whether you should use 【Refresh Token】 or 【Update Authorization】.
- 【Authorization Time】: shows the latest completed authorization time.
- 【Country/Region】: identifies the store site or market. Some platforms fill it automatically, while others require manual selection.
3.2 List actions
- 【Update Authorization】: use this when the platform requires reauthorization, authorization scope changes, or the administrator account changes.
- 【Refresh Token】: use this when a token is close to expiry or authorization status becomes abnormal. If GWMS returns "Please update authorization", run the full authorization flow again.
- 【Edit】: currently used mainly to change the store name and does not start a new authorization flow.
- 【Delete】: removes the current authorization record from the list.
3.3 Naming and sync rules
- The same platform cannot have duplicate 【Store Name】 values.
- After authorization succeeds, GWMS starts the follow-up asynchronous sync process.
- If a store has already been authorized but no data appears for a long time, check
GWMS-Ecommerce Platform Integration-Order Sync Log. - If you only need to change the display name, use 【Edit】 instead of creating another authorization record for the same store.
4. FAQ
Q1: How long does it take before I can see orders or store data in GWMS after authorization?
A1: After authorization succeeds, GWMS starts the follow-up sync process. The actual timing depends on the platform response and the sync process. Check GWMS-Ecommerce Platform Integration-Order Sync Log when needed.
Q2: When authorization status becomes abnormal, should I click 【Refresh Token】 or 【Update Authorization】 first?
A2: Try 【Refresh Token】 first. If GWMS still indicates that reauthorization is required, or if the platform-side authorization information has changed, use 【Update Authorization】 to complete the full authorization flow again.
Q3: Can I authorize multiple stores under the same platform?
A3: Yes. However, the 【Store Name】 must be unique within the same platform. Confirm that no store with the same name already exists before adding a new one.
Q4: What is the difference between disabling a store and deleting a store?
A4: Disabling keeps the authorization record but stops using the store for later sync operations. Deleting removes the current authorization record from the list. If you still need the record for later reference, disable it instead of deleting it.
Q5: I clicked 【Go to Authorization】, but no third-party platform page opened. What should I check?
A5: Check whether your browser blocked the new window or new tab first, and confirm that pop-ups are allowed. If the browser blocked the page, allow the pop-up and click 【Go to Authorization】 again. If the page still does not open, confirm that the current account has permission to authorize that platform.
Q6: The third-party platform already showed authorization success, but the GWMS list still shows an abnormal status. What should I do?
A6: Refresh GWMS-Ecommerce Platform Integration-Platform Authorization first and check whether 【Authorization Time】 has already been updated. If the time has been updated but 【Authorization Status】 is still abnormal, click 【Refresh Token】 first. If GWMS still asks for reauthorization, use 【Update Authorization】 and run the full authorization flow again.
