New Product Maintenance ​

1. Scenario ​

When a product arrives for the first time, the warehouse may collect or verify its information. Go to GWMS-Inbound Management-New Product Maintenance to search product, SKU, GSKU, warehouse-measured dimensions, maintainer, and maintenance time.

This page is not the customer entry for creating products or SKUs. Use GWMS-Product Management for customer product setup.

Legend:

  1. Open 【New Product Maintenance】 under 【Inbound Management】.
  2. Search by SKU, customer name, GSKU, product name, or maintenance time.
  3. Review product identifiers, warehouse-measured dimensions, and maintenance information.

2. Steps ​

2.1 Search for a maintenance record ​

Enter 【SKU】, customer name, 【GSKU】, 【Product Name】, or a maintenance-time range, then click 【Search】. Click 【Reset】 to clear the filters.

2.2 Review the result ​

The list includes product name, SKU, SKU-CN, SKU-EN, GSKU, warehouse-measured dimensions, customer, maintainer, maintenance time, updater, update time, remarks, and operation.

Available row actions depend on the record and account permissions. If the warehouse measurement differs from the customer product data, first confirm the packaging level and unit, then ask the warehouse to verify the measured item.

3. Notes ​

  • Creating a product or SKU does not automatically create a new-product maintenance record.
  • SKU-CN, SKU-EN, and GSKU help identify the item, but the physical product and customer SKU remain the basis for reconciliation.
  • If the page does not provide an 【Add】 action, create the product or SKU under Product Management.

4. FAQ ​

Q1: Why is there no record after I create a new SKU? ​

A1: A maintenance record normally appears only after the new item arrives and the warehouse completes product maintenance.

Q2: Why do warehouse-measured dimensions differ from my data? ​

A2: Confirm whether each side measured the unit, retail package, or outer carton and whether the same unit was used. Provide the SKU and inbound order number when asking the warehouse to recheck.

Q3: Can I create a SKU on this page? ​

A3: No. Go to GWMS-Product Management-SKU to create or maintain the SKU.
