Inventory Alert

1. Scenario

Go to GWMS-Inventory Management-Inventory Alert to configure inventory or volume thresholds at global, warehouse, SKU, or SKU-and-warehouse level. The system generates reminders when inventory reaches a rule condition.

2. Steps

Prerequisites

  • Your account can open 【Inventory Management-Inventory Alert】.
  • Warehouse-level and SKU-level rules require the corresponding warehouse or SKU.
  • The scope, alert type, condition, dimension, and threshold have been confirmed.

2.1 Search and select a configuration level

Inventory Alert page

The numbered callouts show the sequence:

  1. Open 【Inventory Alert】 under 【Inventory Management】.
  2. Search by rule name, alert type, warehouse, or SKU.
  3. Use 【Add】, 【Delete】, 【Import】, or 【Export】.
  4. Review rules under the four configuration tabs.

The four levels are:

  • Global configuration: applies to all warehouses and SKUs.
  • Warehouse configuration: applies to one warehouse.
  • SKU configuration: applies to one SKU.
  • SKU warehouse configuration: applies only to one SKU in one warehouse.

The current English page still displays several tab and field labels in Chinese. Their positions are marked in the screenshots.

2.2 Add a rule

Select the target tab and click 【Add】.

Add Inventory Alert configuration

The numbered callouts show the sequence:

  1. Confirm that you are on Inventory Alert.
  2. Check the configuration level and enter a rule name.
  3. Select alert type, alert condition, alert dimension, and threshold.
  4. Click 【Confirm】 to save or 【Cancel】 to close the dialog.

Use a rule name that includes the alert type, level, and scope, such as Low inventory global alert.

The alert dimension can be Inventory or Volume. The page enables the threshold types supported by the selected dimension; unavailable types remain disabled.

2.3 Edit or delete

  • Edit: Open the edit action for the target row, adjust the rule, and confirm.
  • Delete one rule: Use the row action and confirm the prompt.
  • Delete several rules: Select rows and click the top 【Delete】 button. It remains disabled with no selection.

Deleting a rule does not delete inventory data or reverse an inventory change.

2.4 Import or export

  • 【Import】: Open the dialog, download the system template, complete it, and upload it. Follow the file-format prompt in the current dialog.
  • 【Export】: Export rules in the current configuration level and filter scope.

Completion result: the rule appears under the selected level and participates in later alert evaluation.

3. Notes

Use the most specific scope that matches the requirement. To monitor one SKU in one warehouse, use SKU warehouse configuration instead of a global rule.

Alert results may not refresh immediately after a rule is created, edited, or deleted. The existing processing cycle is normally about 30 minutes; refresh Home reminders and message records later.

Closing one Home reminder does not delete the rule on Inventory Alert.

4. FAQ

Q1: Why is no alert shown immediately after I add a rule?

A1: Alert evaluation has a processing cycle. Confirm that the rule is saved, wait about 30 minutes, and refresh Home and message records.

Q2: Why is Delete disabled?

A2: The top Delete action requires at least one selected rule. Use the row action when deleting a single rule.

Q3: Which level should I use for one SKU in one warehouse?

A3: Use SKU warehouse configuration and select both the warehouse and SKU.

Q4: Does closing a reminder delete the rule?

A4: No. It closes only the reminder. The rule remains on Inventory Alert.
