Create and Track a Truck Inquiry

1. Scenario
Use Truck Inquiry to submit a US truck transportation request. Select LTL or FTL, provide pickup and destination addresses, enter pallet and cargo details, and then track the inquiry status and returned plans.
For frequently used addresses, maintain the Truck Address Book before creating the inquiry.
2. Operation Guide
Prerequisites
- Your account can access
GWMS-Fee Management-Truck Inquiry. - The warehouse, shipping method, estimated pickup date, and receiving address type are known.
- Pickup, destination, pallet dimensions, weight, and cargo information are ready.
2.1 Search Truck Inquiries
- Expand Fee Management.
- Select Truck Inquiry.
- Enter Warehouse Code and Inquiry Number.
- Select Status when needed, then click Search. Click Reset to clear the filters.
After searching, check the creation time, pallet information, and current status, then continue from Action.

- Pallet Information: pallet count, total weight, and declared value.

2.2 Create an Inquiry
- Click Add New.
- Select the warehouse, LTL or FTL, delivery address type, and estimated pickup date.
- If applicable, enter the declared value and currency.
- Select pickup and destination addresses. Use Paste to fill for a one-time address.
- Select any required pickup or destination services.

2.3 Enter Cargo Details and Submit
- Select the packaging and pallet types.
- Enter the number of pallets, dimensions, weight, and freight class. Enter NMFC Item and Sub when available.
- Set Stackable and Dangerous goods, then enter the cargo description and remark.
- Check the calculated pallet count and total weight.
- Click Save as draft or Submit.

2.4 Review Details and Results
- Click the blue inquiry number.
- Check the basic information, addresses, service options, and cargo details.
- Under Inquiry Result, review the plan, carrier, total fee, and plan remark.
- Review the operation log. Use Add Remark when additional information is required.

Result: The inquiry is saved as a draft or submitted and can be followed from the list.
3. Additional Notes
- LTL is for less-than-truckload transportation; FTL is for a full truckload.
- Metric uses centimeters and kilograms. Imperial uses inches and pounds.
- Address service options are carried into the inquiry. Verify them before submitting.
- No data under Inquiry Result means that no transportation plan has been returned yet.
- Whether a submitted record can be edited depends on its current status and the enabled buttons.
4. FAQ
Q1: Why is Edit disabled?
Select one record first. If Edit remains disabled, the current status does not allow editing.
Q2: What if an address is missing from the list?
Add it under Fee Management-Truck Address Book, or use Paste to fill for this inquiry.
Q3: Can I edit the total pallet count or weight directly?
No. These totals are calculated from the cargo rows. Update the quantity or weight in the details.
Q4: Why are there no inquiry plans after submission?
The plan has not been returned yet. Refresh the details later or contact the team handling the inquiry.
