Viewing the GWMS Warehouse Home Page
Last updated: 2026-04-13
1. Scenario
The warehouse home page is the default dashboard after a warehouse account logs into GWMS, used to centrally display to-do counts, business trends, and alert information for the current warehouse.
Warehouse staff can first assess on the home page what the key priorities are for today, then jump directly from the home page to the corresponding business pages without navigating through menus layer by layer.
Applicable scenarios:
- Warehouse staff have just logged in and need to see what to-dos there are for today.
- Supervisors need to quickly understand pending review, pending inbound, pending putaway, pending outbound, and shipped status.
- Operations staff need to first review alerts and active customers before deciding the day's processing order.
Not applicable scenarios:
- When you already know exactly which order to process, go directly to the specific business list page.
- When you need to initialize basic data, start with Initial Setup.
2. Instructions
Prerequisites
Please confirm the following before starting:
- You have a valid warehouse account.
- The account has been assigned home page and related business menu permissions.
- If the account can manage multiple warehouses, we recommend first confirming which warehouse you want to view.
2.1 After Login, Enter the Home Page and Select a Warehouse
Menu path: GWMS-Home
- After logging into GWMS, the system defaults to the home page.
- There is a Warehouse filter at the top of the home page.
- If the current account can view multiple warehouses, first click Warehouse and select the target warehouse.
- After selecting a warehouse, view the cards and charts below to avoid mixing data from different warehouses.
System feedback:
- After selecting a warehouse, the home page refreshes data based on the current warehouse.
- The current page also provides a Refresh button to manually reload home page information.
The image below shows the current warehouse home page. After selecting a warehouse, you can directly view all home page modules:
2.2 First Review the Top To-Do Cards
Menu path: GWMS-Home
- The first screen of the home page displays 5 core cards:
- Pending Review
- Pending Inbound
- Pending Putaway
- Pending Outbound
- Shipped
- The first four cards (Pending Review/Pending Inbound/Pending Putaway/Pending Outbound) display the current pending count. The last card Shipped displays both today's completed outbound count and a comparison trend against yesterday (percentage change), making it easy to judge whether today's outbound volume is up or down.
- If immediate action is needed, directly click the corresponding card to enter the business page.
System feedback:
- Clicking Pending Review enters the Pending Review tab of
GWMS-Inbound Management-Inbound Forecast. - Clicking Pending Inbound enters the Pending Inbound tab of
GWMS-Inbound Management-Inbound Forecast. - Clicking Pending Putaway enters the pending putaway processing page related to inbound forecasts.
- Clicking Pending Outbound enters
GWMS-Outbound Management-Dropshipping, automatically filtered by pending outbound status. - Clicking Shipped enters
GWMS-Outbound Management-Dropshipping, automatically filtered by shipped status.
2.3 View the Four Business Areas Below
Menu path: GWMS-Home
Below the top cards on the home page, there are 4 commonly used areas:
- Today's Order Fulfillment Funnel
- Used to view the distribution of today's orders from pending review to completion (note: these are order counts, not pending item quantities).
- Suitable for quickly assessing which node the business is bottlenecked at.
- Past 7 Days Inbound/Outbound Load
- Used to view inbound and outbound trend changes over the past 7 days.
- Suitable for assessing recent warehouse operational pressure.
- Operational Alert List
- When there are pending operational alerts, displays specific alert items. This is currently a reserved feature with no actual alert data returned; the page will consistently display Well done! There are currently no items that need attention.
- Active Customer Leaderboard
- Used to view today's active customer rankings, displaying the top 10 customers in descending order of outbound order count.
- This component displays customer names and order counts.
2.4 Click Refresh When You Need to Recheck Data
Menu path: GWMS-Home
- If you have just finished processing business or suspect the home page data has not yet updated, click Refresh at the top.
- After clicking, the home page re-requests card, chart, and list data.
- After refresh completes, recheck the to-do counts and alert content.
System feedback:
- Refresh reloads home page data.
- No additional confirmation window appears; refresh executes directly on click.
2.5 From the Home Page to the Next Business Step
Common next-step paths on the warehouse side are as follows:
- When the home page has Pending Review or Pending Inbound, prioritize entering
GWMS-Inbound Management-Inbound Forecast. - When the home page has Pending Putaway, continue to the putaway-related processing page.
- When the home page has Pending Outbound or Shipped, enter
GWMS-Outbound Management-Dropshippingto view the order list. - When the home page has alerts, prioritize handling exceptions in the Operational Alert List.
Result: After reviewing the home page, warehouse staff can confirm the most urgent to-dos for the current warehouse and directly enter the corresponding business page from the home page to continue processing.
3. Supplementary Notes
3.1 What the Home Page Is Best For
The home page is best suited for "viewing overviews" and "finding entry points" — not as a replacement for formal business lists.
For example:
- To first assess whether there is a backlog today, start by viewing the home page cards.
- To process specific orders, still enter the business list page for further filtering.
- To verify specific warehouses, customers, order numbers, or times, continue querying on the corresponding list page.
3.2 Why We Recommend Selecting a Warehouse First
If an account can view multiple warehouses, selecting a warehouse first has two benefits:
- Home page numbers are more focused, making it easier to assess the real workload of the current warehouse.
- After jumping from the home page to a business list, it is easier to continue processing tasks for the corresponding warehouse.
3.3 Empty Alerts Do Not Mean a System Issue
When the home page Operational Alert List displays Well done! There are currently no items that need attention., it means there are currently no pending alerts to display — not that the page is malfunctioning.
3.4 Data Refresh Frequency (Caching Mechanism)
To ensure smooth system performance, the home dashboard uses a caching mechanism. Data is not synchronized in real time. This means home page data may temporarily differ from data on business list pages and detail pages.
Specific cache intervals are as follows:
- To-Do Cards (Pending Review/Pending Inbound/Pending Putaway/Pending Outbound/Shipped): updated approximately every 2 minutes.
- Order Fulfillment Funnel: updated approximately every 5 minutes.
- Inbound/Outbound Load Trend Chart: updated approximately every 5 minutes.
- Operational Alert List: updated approximately every 10 minutes.
- Active Customer Leaderboard: updated approximately every 5 minutes.
If you have just completed a batch of business operations (such as reviewing inbound orders, confirming outbound, etc.), please wait 2–5 minutes before refreshing the home page to view statistical changes. To verify specific orders, please go directly to the corresponding business list page. Do not rely on home page data as authoritative.
4. FAQ
Q1: The count on the home page cards doesn't exactly match what I see after opening the business list. What should I do?
A1: Each home page module has a cache delay of 2–10 minutes (see Section 3.4). First click the home page Refresh to reload data, then enter the business list from the corresponding card to continue verification. If the list page still has additional filter conditions applied, clear them first before comparing counts.
Q2: Why do I still need to filter on the business page after clicking a home page card?
A2: Home page cards are responsible for taking you to the correct business page or status tab, but they do not replace all formal filter conditions. After entering the target page, if you still need to limit by warehouse, customer, order number, or date, continue adding filters on the list page.
Q3: The operational alert list is empty. Is the feature broken?
A3: No. When there are no pending alerts, the home page directly displays Well done! There are currently no items that need attention. Only when alerts actually exist will the list show specific content.
