Review an Inbound Forecast in GWMS

1. Scenario

Inbound forecast review is used after a customer submits an inbound order. The warehouse checks that the inbound order can continue to receiving. After approval, the order moves to 【Pending Inbound】 and can be received when the goods arrive.

This guide is for warehouse administrators, customer service staff, or implementation users handling inbound forecasts in 【Pending Review】 status. It describes the direct approval flow.

2. Steps

Prerequisites

  • Your account can access GWMS-Inbound Management-Inbound Forecast.
  • Your account has permission to review inbound forecasts.
  • The target inbound order is in 【Pending Review】 status.
  • The warehouse has checked the customer, warehouse, arrival method, box count, and product details.

2.1 Open the inbound forecast list

Go to GWMS-Inbound Management-Inbound Forecast.

Open inbound forecast menu

Use filters such as 【Inbound Order No.】, 【Warehouse】, 【Completion Status】, 【Tracking No.】, and 【Expected Arrival Date】. Orders waiting for approval appear under the 【Pending Review】 tab.

2.2 Approve the inbound forecast

Find the target order and click 【Review】 in the action column.

Click Review on the pending order

The current page approves the order directly. After you click 【Review】, GWMS shows 【Review succeeded】 and updates the order status.

2.3 Check the result

Return to the inbound forecast list and confirm the following:

  • The order status changes from 【Pending Review】 to 【Pending Inbound】.
  • The completion status remains 【In Progress】.
  • The 【Review】 action disappears, and the order can continue to receiving.

3. Notes

3.1 Review means direct approval

The 【Review】 action on this list is a direct approval action. If the forecast information needs correction, do not approve it first. Check whether the order can still be edited, or ask the customer to correct the data before review.

3.2 Next steps after review

After approval, the order can continue through:

  • 【Receiving】 when the status is 【Pending Inbound】 or 【Partially Received】.
  • 【Putaway】 when the status is 【Fully Received】 or 【Partially Put Away】.

3.3 Force close is not review

【Force Close】 closes an order that will no longer continue. It is not the same as approval. A force-closed order cannot continue receiving or putaway.

4. FAQ

Q1: Why can't I see the 【Review】 button?

A1: Check whether the order is still in 【Pending Review】 status. Only pending-review orders show the review action. If the status is already 【Pending Inbound】, 【Partially Received】, or later, GWMS shows later-stage actions such as 【Receiving】 or 【Putaway】.

Q2: What status does the order enter after review?

A2: GWMS shows 【Review succeeded】 and changes the order to 【Pending Inbound】. The warehouse can then receive goods on the same list.

Q3: What should I do if the box count or product details are wrong before review?

A3: Do not approve the order. Check whether the order can still be edited, or ask the customer to confirm and correct the forecast before continuing.

Q4: Can I reject the forecast from this page?

A4: This list provides the direct approval action. If the order should not continue, handle it according to warehouse rules, such as editing the data or using a permitted close action.
