Set Warehouse Language and Timezone in GWMS

Last updated: 2026-05-29

1. Scenario

This guide explains how warehouse accounts switch the interface language and displayed timezone from the top-right area of the GWMS page after login.

It helps warehouse staff read the interface in the language they need and check system time based on the business region, so they do not misread creation times, inbound times, or operation times during cross-timezone collaboration.

Applicable scenarios:

  • A newly created warehouse account needs to set the preferred interface language after the first login.
  • The warehouse serves both domestic and overseas customers and needs to switch the displayed time to the current business timezone.
  • Trainers or supervisors need a separate guide for multilingual warehouse teams.

Not applicable scenarios:

  • If you need to review home page to-dos, statistics cards, or business entry points, refer to Home.
  • If you need the overall setup sequence before the warehouse goes live, refer to Initial Setup.

2. Instructions

Prerequisites

Please confirm the following before you start:

  1. No special permission is required. Any warehouse account that can log in can use this setting.
  2. You have already logged into GWMS and can see the language icon, current time, and timezone in the top-right corner.
  3. If you need to verify business records for an overseas region, confirm the target timezone first.

2.1 Switch the Language from the Top Bar

Entry location: GWMS-Any Page-Top Navigation Bar

  1. After logging into GWMS, find the Language icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Click the Language icon. The system opens the language dropdown list.
  3. Click the target language in the dropdown list.
  4. Wait for the page text to refresh, then confirm that the left-side menu, page title, and buttons have switched to the target language.

Default language: 中文.

Currently supported languages:

  • 中文
  • English
  • Français
  • Español

System feedback:

  • After the language is switched successfully, the page displays Switch Language Successful! at the top.
  • The left-side menu, page title, and page buttons switch to the selected language.
  • This setting is available in the website top bar, and you do not need to log in again after switching.

2.2 Switch the Timezone from the Top Bar

Entry location: GWMS-Any Page-Top Navigation Bar

  1. In the top-right area of the page, check the timezone label shown to the right of the current time.
  2. Click the timezone label. The system opens the timezone dropdown list.
  3. Select the target timezone from the list.
  4. After selection, immediately confirm that the current time and timezone label at the top of the page have updated.

The timezone options visible in the current screenshots include:

  • Asia/China/Beijing UTC+8
  • America/USA/New York UTC-5/UTC-4
  • America/USA/Chicago UTC-6/UTC-5
  • America/USA/Los Angeles UTC-8/UTC-7
  • America/Mexico/Mexico City UTC-6
  • Asia/Singapore/Singapore UTC+8
  • Asia/Myanmar/Yangon UTC+6.5

System feedback:

  • After selection, the current time shown at the top of the page refreshes based on the new timezone.
  • The timezone label is updated to the selected timezone.
  • For later list pages, you should continue checking time fields based on the currently selected timezone.

2.3 Check Whether the Changes Have Taken Effect

Entry location: GWMS-Any Page-Top Navigation Bar

  1. After switching the language, check whether the left-side menu and current page title have changed to the target language.
  2. After switching the timezone, check whether the time at the top and the timezone label have refreshed.
  3. If you are about to process inbound, outbound, or billing data, open the related list page and confirm that you are reading time fields under the expected timezone.

Result: After completing these settings, warehouse staff can switch the interface language and timezone under the same account before continuing daily business operations.

3. Supplementary Notes

3.1 Language and Timezone Affect Different Areas

  • Language affects the display language of menus, titles, buttons, and page text.
  • Timezone affects the current time shown at the top of the page and the context you use when checking business timestamps later.
  • These two settings can be adjusted separately. You do not need to switch them at the same time.

3.2 What to Do If Some Fields Do Not Switch

  • If the language has already been switched successfully but some fields, buttons, or page content do not immediately change to the target language, sign out of the current account first.
  • Log in again and refresh the page, then check the left-side menu, page title, and related fields again.
  • If some fields are still not switched after logging in again, save screenshots of the current page and send them to your administrator for further troubleshooting.

3.3 Confirm the Timezone Before Starting Daily Work

If the warehouse works with overseas customers, overseas shipping channels, or overseas operation teams, confirm the timezone before starting the day’s work. Then review document creation times, forecast times, putaway times, and outbound times under the same timezone.

3.4 These Settings Stay Available in the Top Bar During Daily Use

Both the language and timezone entries are located in the top-right corner of the page. When warehouse staff move between Home, Inbound Management, In-stock Operation, and Outbound Management, they can continue adjusting both settings from the same location without opening a separate settings page.

4. FAQ

Q1: Why does the page still show the original text after I switch the language?

A1: First confirm whether Switch Language Successful! appears at the top of the page. Then check whether the left-side menu and page title have updated. If there is no success message, click the language icon again and reselect the target language. If the success message appears but some fields still do not switch, sign out, log in again, and refresh the page before checking once more.

Q2: Where should I check whether the timezone switch has taken effect?

A2: First check whether the timezone label in the top-right corner has changed to the target timezone. Then check whether the current time at the top has changed accordingly. If you need to process specific documents, open the related list page and confirm the time fields there as well.

Q3: Do I need to reset the language and timezone every time I log in?

A3: This article only explains the entry point and the switching result in the current interface. If the display does not match the current business need after you log in, switch it again from the top bar.
