View Inbound Putaway Records in GWMS

1. Scenario

Putaway records show where received inbound goods were stored. Use this page to:

  • Check putaway progress and location destination for an inbound order.
  • Trace full-box putaway by box number.
  • Find putaway records by SKU, GSKU, or SKU name.
  • Review recent inbound putaway activity for a location.
  • Export putaway details for inventory review or operation statistics.

This guide is for warehouse operators, supervisors, and inventory staff. It does not execute putaway. To put goods away, use GWMS-Inbound Management-Scan Putaway or click 【Putaway】 on the inbound forecast list.

2. Steps

Prerequisites

  • Your account can access GWMS-Inbound Management-Putaway Records.
  • Your account has putaway record query permission.
  • Export requires putaway record export permission.
  • The target inbound order has submitted putaway records.

2.1 Open Putaway Records

Go to GWMS-Inbound Management-Putaway Records.

Putaway Records query page

The top section contains filters. The table lists putaway details. Each row represents a SKU quantity put away to a specific location.

2.2 Search putaway records

Use these filters:

  • 【Inbound Order No.】
  • 【Owner Name】
  • 【Warehouse Name】
  • 【Received Box No.】
  • 【SKU Code】
  • 【GSKU】
  • 【SKU Name】
  • 【Location Code】
  • 【Putaway Time】

Click 【Search】 after entering conditions. Click 【Reset】 to clear filters.

2.3 Review putaway details

Key columns include:

  • 【Inbound Order No.】: click to open putaway details for the order.
  • 【Putaway Box No.】: click to open the putaway page for the box.
  • 【Owner】: owner code.
  • 【Warehouse】: warehouse name and code.

2.4 Continue putaway from records

If an inbound order or box still has pending putaway quantity, click 【Inbound Order No.】 or 【Putaway Box No.】 to open the putaway page.

Confirm the inbound order number, receiving transaction, and box number before submitting more putaway records.

2.5 Export putaway records

Click 【Export】 to export records based on the current filters.

Before exporting, filter by inbound order number, SKU, location, or time range to keep the exported data focused.

3. Notes

3.1 Putaway Records vs Inventory Records

  • Putaway Records show operation history: who put away which SKU, when, to which location, and how many.
  • Inventory Records or Inventory Management show current inventory results.

Use putaway records for operation tracing. Use inventory pages for current stock balance.

3.2 Impact on inventory

After putaway succeeds, GWMS creates inventory records so the goods can be queried and used for later outbound operations. If the wrong location was used, follow the warehouse stock transfer or inventory adjustment process instead of changing physical goods only.

3.3 Multiple-location putaway

If one SKU is split across multiple locations, GWMS shows multiple putaway rows. When checking totals, aggregate rows by inbound order and SKU.

4. FAQ

Q1: Why is there no data in Putaway Records?

A1: Confirm that the inbound order has submitted putaway. Orders that are received but not put away do not have putaway records yet.

Q2: Why is there still pending putaway quantity after I click a box?

A2: The box or receiving transaction may have been partially put away. Check the physical goods and pending quantity before continuing.

Q3: What should I do if the location code is wrong?

A3: Do not directly change historical records unless the warehouse process allows it. Use stock transfer or inventory adjustment to correct the current location.

Q4: Can exported putaway records be used for inventory reconciliation?

A4: They can be used to review putaway operations. Final stock balance should be confirmed in Inventory Management or Inventory Records.
